Our story (officially) began on August 21, 2023, at The Corner Bar in Fenton, MI. Though that was our first official date, our families had been close friends for over ten years, and I had been crushing on Jeff since the day I had met him, seven years earlier. Our connection as friends was effortless, as this wasn’t just two people meeting for the first time; it was the blending of two lives that had always been intertwined in one way or another.

However, what neither of us expected was how quickly things would move from there. Just six weeks into our relationship, Jeff told me he would marry me one day. At first, I thought he was joking, but the more I got to know him, the more I realized he meant it. The certainty he had in us, so early on, was something I couldn’t ignore. And the more time we spent together, the more I could feel that same certainty growing in my own heart.
